>>13794577>corresponds to infinitely many shapesWhat do you mean by this?
>The notion of a "perfect" shape is moot when you fundamentally lack the capacity to visualize on the level of detail that distinguishes perfect shapes from imperfect onesI don't think this is the same. As said I think a shape is only imperfect if there is an imperfect element which can be pointed to as existent. If WYSIWYG then the smooth circle you see has no jagged edge because the zoomed in form which, you suppose, would have jagged edges, does not actually exist.
In the real world it does. In the real world you can take a seemingly round object and zoom in and in and then say "see, look, it's jagged!" and that is why it's jagged.
If it's an imaginary circle, there is no zoom in. There's no spatial dimension in the mind's eye so it could well be a 1 nanometer diameter circle or a 1 mile diameter one. There is no zoom in or zoom out. Any movement is rendered in real time.
This highlights I suppose a key difference in the image seen in the mind and what is actually there in the world. The image in the mind will always be rendering in real time. Even the real objects you see, in the mind's eye there is only what you see at that exact moment... It is just that the real object, you can put a microscope to it and show someone indentations. BUT in the mind's eye, it is no longer the same thing. The physical object is the same object. But what is in the mind is not the same anymore. As the mind is rendering only exactly what is seen and nothing else.
