how long does it take to remove soap from the skin?
i think i have some sort of OCD. i remember being a kid and the water cut off partway through a shower, and i had to go the rest of the day feeling like i still had soap on me.
so now, i have a "routine" in the shower where after i'm done actually washing off, i spend a good 10 minutes rinsing methodically.
i think this is unnessecary.
i went to college for chem E, and i took a good deal of organic chemistry. the soap should, theoretically, be removed practically instantly. maybe a minute, and there would be nothing remaining.
yet, i have a "procedure" where i rinse my entire body with the shower head, and i do it 3 times.
i don't know what to make of this.
i don't have this issue with washing my hands, that just takes a few minutes. detergent for clothes and dishes, i can rinse off without considering it.
yet i have this issue showering.
can someone cohesively explain why i am not benefiting from spending 10 extra minutes in the shower?
