I had normally boring-seeming low level stem classes be engaging and awesome because of the content delivery and projects, while courses that I am interested in the content of and thought would be an exciting gen-ed course, like geology and archaeology, be dogshit boring and horrible because they consisted of (mainly) reading academic papers which insert (Name, Name,
et.al, 2006) into every other fucking sentence and taking tests which were largely memorization based. I thought I would like those classes and fields because I like exploring outside and getting my hands dirty, but god damn, I would kms if I had to read/write shit in that format forever.
