Conscioucness doesn't mean a damn thing. Particularly huaman consciousness. We are not more conscious than animal. I think ours brains areas are a little less oriented towards sensing our environment and more locked in the feedback loop of processing prior stimuli and interpret them ad infinitum.
All this happens because of the structure and arrangement of our cells and neurons, it happens because of the structure of the matter that compose you.
If the inert matter (nutrients) that made your developpement becase conscious, why this same matter, once you're dead, won't become some years after part of another "conscious" living organism ?
