Regardless of you treat your own data, I think we all recognize that building large genotype-phenotype databases is essential for the future of medicine and forensics.

ITT we list ideas that would get people to submit their genetic and phenotypic info. I’ll start.

1. Sperm bank - good way to get full genotype and phenotype of applicants, can turn a profit as you go, but it doesn’t scale well at all.

2. Gimmicky dating site - could do a few things here. Some that come to mind are letting people compare genes, or adding a badge to your profile if you carry gene ‘x’ or something, idk. Could also show you the potential phenotypic range of offspring between you and a match. This doesn’t feel like a great idea. I feel like it could work though, especially since women might use it.

3. Pay them for it. They have the data and they aren’t making any money off of it, may as well make some.
