Let's assume that I have no way to get in contact with a psychologist for mental evaluation, but I suspect there's something wrong with me mentally.
Is there any unbiased (or mostly unbiased) way to self diagnose a mental disorder without falling into the trap of misinterpreting normal traits as symptoms of mental illness in order to fit your own view of yourself as abnormal?
So far the best way I have devised is trying to "step out of myself" and really analyze my day to day actions and feelings as if I were an outside viewer, but as I'm obviously the only one who knows about this, and thus cannot compare my results to anyone's but my own, I can't speak to its efficacy.
What do you think, /sci/?
