How many of you have made your own hourly schedules?
Once you graduate and start looking for a job, or say you end up with an unrelated job that has downtime.
How have you decided to schedule and best use your time?

I have different interests and studies I want to continue for my own self fulfillment, but I'm finding it difficult to just pull a schedule out of thin air. And without that structure I'm finding it difficult to stay on task.
Whats the best way to tackle it?

First, set your goal, and all those things needed to get there as sub goals. Next is fill out all of the non-negotiable shit. Hygiene, eating, cleaning, work/school, travel, shopping, sleeping, and even recreation. Then you plan the route to your goal and fill in the blanks on your schedule.
One of the most important things you can do is understand how long you will actually need for something. You need to set aside time to look at your various habits and think about how you can improve them. The most common problem is sleeping. Maybe you are the type that has issues sleeping, and will spend a couple hours in bed just trying to get to sleep. Maybe its because you relax with vidya for an hour before bed, maybe it is from eating too late in the evening. You have to shift your schedule around so that you can carry out tasks efficiently. So you have to set aside time to manage your schedule and take notes about it while you are doing a task.
After I was efficiently scheduled, I ran into a problem where I was finishing every task and I was running out of things to do. I would have textbooks done before the semester started. I loaded myself up with all sorts of reading tasks. Don't do this. The biggest problem is it was directionless, and while I picked up some stuff, it ultimately killed my motivation quite unexpectedly. My focus stopped being about topics all together, and drifted toward efficient reading itself. This really screwed me up. I can hardly open a fiction book without getting lost in the sauce after just one paragraph. Instead set aside time to review things from before or pick another goal and work towards that.

Am college student in my case hourly schedule would be retarded. I just try to speedrun things like eating, hygiene etc. And then use queue for homework, studying as long as I need, can't know in advance
