Robots general need to have a 100,000 hr MTBF, and I'll be that such a gripper barely lasts half a year. Sure, it may be cheap, but maintenance costs money too. If you're constantly doing maintenance on your robots, they're no longer cost effective. Therefore this is wank. Underactuated grippers are sort of a meme too. Sure you can pick stuff up, but you can't get it in the orientation you want.
