Nope, it’s still a researched field. Notice how pessimists never make money on future tech all they do is point out flaws. Currently the best AI we’ve seen is by Open AI and their giant language model GPT-3, while it’s not general AI (AGI) it’s a great example of how AI can aid humans in writing code and automating tasks. We sort of need each other for now

No, but I think a lot of people just misunderstand what it is or how it works.

Some cool stuff has been happening recently, for example deep fold. It can do shit in a few hours that an entire field of research took over a decade to do
