why americans call graduate programs "undergraduate" and post-graduate programs "graduate"?
i have some math books in English that don't use undergraduate, what gives?

Because unlike your third world shithole, most Americans earn college degrees and hence the norm is to have a degree. Therefore they're undergrads (not yet matriculated). When high school is your country's crown jewel, then you call it graduate. Simple as.

That's not how it works. If you have a Bachelor's degree, you're a graduate. That's why postgraduate (or graduate, if you're in the US) programmes are called so. What we call 'undergraduate' isn't the degree you earn, but the programme you go through for a Bachelor's degree.

I understand the American logic, undergraduate means you're studying stuff for people don't have a degree, once you get your bachelor degree, you are studying with other graduates

When you're doing your degree, you're an undergraduate.
When you graduate, you're a graduate.
If you then pursue a further degree, you're a postgraduate.
