The spread of misinformation will be the downfall of civilization, why shouldn't the Internet become heavily regulated and censored by AI agents?

The pace of data that moves through cyberspace is increasing at an exponential rate and the average person cannot tell the difference from what is real or fake. At some point if not already humans are creating their own ecosystems online where the realities of their world is completely different, this division in thinking is only going increase over time.
