>>13743178Because the intelligent aliens hypothesis is functionally equivalent to the God hypothesis. It ends any possibility of doing more science on whatever we've observed. For example, when quasars were first detected, because of their combination of enormous energy and intense red-shift, it was considered that we might be seeing exhaust from nearby spaceships. Had we accepted that hypothesis, we'd have stopped ourselves from learning what we've learned about quasars in the past 50+ years.
>Why is it like that?Because aliens make it like that.
>What else can we learn about it?Until the aliens come and explain it to us, probably nothing.
Aliens are the explanation of absolute last resort-- in other words, we have to actually interact with them, and probably cut them open and do other experiments to establish that they're not humans in costumes or some genetic manipulation of humans.
