Fusion is completely overhyped and overbudgetted for a nuclear reactor that is guaranteed to be just 4x the energy density of conventional fission.
Both it and better Fission reactors should be researched as Fission reactors produces Tritium and Deuterium that Fusion reactors needed.
But instead, Fission research is halted and Fusion is stuck as well
