assuming everyone agreed to do this would it be possible to "shut down" society for a month if we prepared in advance? suppose everyone stocked up on supplies, maintenance repairs were made in advance, etc and then everything was closed. no one could leave their house for anything till one month was over. would there still be running water, electricity, internet, oil and gas during that month? how frequently do these things need to be serviced and how much depends on trucking? could what requires trucking me stored for a months supply or storage expanded on to meet that demand? oil and gas consumption would be at an all time low as no one would be driving.
