His name is Professor David Dixon, and goes by Starkeffect on plebbit and elsewhere. He is the prime example of a particular failure in modern Academia. Notice in the video that in Dixon's worldview, anyone who approaches him with outside-the-box thinking deserves harrassment and to be called crazy.
The video is of Dixon reviewing a box of letters sent to him and his team by people from all over the world who were simply curious about the Universe, but because they were not from Dixon's culture, or Institute, Dixon dismisses them outright and then essentially accuses these people, by name, of being scizophrenics. Clearly if that were true then these sick people deserve compassion rather than harrassment, but of course what we are really witnessing is some kind of pathological dominance display from Dixon of insiders against outsiders. This is what happened to Mario.
It's made even worse when one understands that approaching science can be a death sentence in certain communities, certain Muslim and fundamentalists communities, etc... so imagine you finally work up the courage to finally ask that question you could never ask your Imam or preacher, and the "Scientists" i.e. Dixon refuses to even review the question / idea on principle and calls you a schizo, by name, in a video broadcast to the world. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO MARIO.
