Explain to me why this isn't the most effective and long term solution to fix climate change? People have spent billions trying to come up with solutions to climate change when the problem is very simple. Less humans = less emissions. More humans = more emissions.

If we don't reduce world population then our scientific and technological advancement will be hard capped due to emissions. We will never realize our potential as humanity. Why should we doom our species like this just so third worlders can keep popping out kids?
