From the look of it, the beginnings of calc 3 and 4
would be covered in the later chapters in that book.

This was a good book but the first edition had an erroneous differential equation proof at the end that fucked me up for an hour.

In addition, the first edition has the most soul, the later edition goes through the differential equation section telling you to basically memorize a pattern. So I would pick a different book if the ODE section confuses at all.
