Recently I started wondering whether IQ is mostly determined by genes. My parents scored about 110. I, on the other hand, haven't tested myself yet. The thing is I have won some math competitions in the past and got accepted into CalTech. I might be wrong, but I think that it's highly unlikely to achieve that while having average to above-average IQ.
