The average sperg taking his 9000 supplements on the street is not smarter than a physician in any sense, and don't know jack shit about physiology or pathology or anything related to medicine.
But the medical establishment in America does little to win people over.
>the practice of medicine is based around a payment method that is fraud anywhere else
>AMA lobbying was instrumental in stopping socialized medicine/universal public health insurance in America, when the rest of the west was getting that up and running
>physicians today en masse bitch and moan that they have to sell out to private equity because dealing with insurance companies is to expensive
>surely the Frankenstein's monster - essentially free care with medicaid/medicare for some, get assraped by premiums for others - paradigm - was not an ideal solution
>"haha the anesthesiologist was out of network, that'll be $4k sorry bro"
>stuff like this leads people to fucking hate hospitals and doctors and just go about making their opinions on their own
>also, legit non-schizo talk, medical research is often genuinely garbage tier research (not as bad as psych or sociology, but still)
>some of the laziest, most phoned in papers you'll ever read are written by physicians - so now the entire field of medicine is polluted with 158k studies with completely incorrect statistical analysis on "presentation of 3 time crack users 8 time weed users in a rural setting" author: Needed to shit out a paper, MD/DO
>physicians conflate the results of basic science research with, "best practices we do as doctors in year 20xx", no I'm not talking about COVID
There are huge issues with the way medicine is run in America, doctors are to busy with being doctors to try and fix the issues. Now that the mid-level crisis is here they have a do or die moment, if they don't change things from the bottom up. They will simply get replaced by cheaper nurses with a 2 year DeVry degree who now get the exact same privileges as them.
