So if you were paying $15 in electricity for battery charge up at your supercharging station, it would cost you $75 to fill up the hydrogen tank. Now you got a gas replacement thats ~2x more expensive. Plus with a regular battery EV, you can charge at home for $3 per vs $75 from hydrogen stations because you cannot fill up at home.
Then there's the status quo gas filling model that hydrogen keeps, the metal embrittlement issue where the housing of hydrogen in the car weakens over time due to hydrogen leaking, the cost of a robust hydrogen tanks being expensive, any amount of battery charging speed improvement will negate any advantage, etc
