>>13726195>>13726977Use Eratosthenes. Pick a date. Yourself and at least two other flat earth buddies need to be about 2000 miles apart latitude wise. At a pre-designated time plant a stick that protrudes exactly one meter out of the ground. Measure the length of the shadow cast at the same time. Also measure the angle of the shadow. Using your accurate measurements and basic trigonometry you can determine the geometry and size of the earth.
This is NOT trivial. You can do this on an even bigger scale and here are the implications:

Test this worldwide with a Flat Earther group. Now if your measurements are not totally crap (Using basic measurement standards and methods) and your basic geometry is also not flawed, then you're going to obtain a reasonable result.
If you confirm the earth is spherical, you will make headlines: FLAT EARTHER GROUP CONFIRMS CLASSICAL EXPERIMENT
You might even get written up in a journal. You might even get published in Nature. I'm not kidding.
Now if your result is that the earth is flat, the first thing people are going to look at is your data, then your geometric calculations and your reasoning. Should that check out, they will: DECLARE YOUR DATA FRAUDULENT
BUT
Because you did the actual measurements you can now say: TEST IT, WE HAVE! Sooner or later if scientists claim this is nonsensical, high school groups and enthusiasts are going to take up the challenge. THEN lo and behold: The truth shall prevail!
Either way, you're going to get the attention you want. You're either going to get acclaim or you're going to be a famous liberator.
AND many confirmation experiments have also yielded additional insights.

A flat disc earth will have cast shadows across the disc (measured on the same day and time) corresponding with the geometry of the disc.
A sperical earth will have cast shadows across the sphere (measured on the same day and time) corresponding with the geometry of the sphere.
SO get off your ass.
