I'm just trying to ask innocent questions and the users on there just post snarky comments that don't aid in answering the question posted?

I also notice this. Usually the answer to a question is something like, "I can tell from the way you have worded your question that you don't even know the answer to your question so I'm not going to answer it."

Can you post the question you asked? Most of the time, getting the response you describe means your question either could've been answered in 2 secs by looking at previous questions, or 2) was a low-effort HW question or a question thats vague enough not to be answerable.

I like /sqt/ but I think an inherent problem with it is that anyone who wants to answer questions needs to sift through the whole thread. I know it has discouraged me a few times when I had free time and felt like helping anons out but needed to read 300 posts first.
