The kids look like the mother, because her appearance genes were dominant.
The kids may very well have the insides (bone structure) of the father.
That's how people breed out genes.
They breed based on looks, and only the dominant traits show.
Have 100 million people breed based on look, and they will end up sharing a lot of visual similarities.
But the genes can always be overwritten when breeding with another person that has a more dominant gene.
Over 100's & 1000's of years, the fetuses will be composed of the best DNA (most dominant DNA).
Essentially, my theory is that dominant traits are dominant because they fit the best.
The father has more similarity to the kids insides (heart, liver, bones).
The mother has more similarity to the kids outsides (eye color, hair color, etc...)
