Chromosomes are found in the core of living cells. Chromosomes are constituted of DNA molecules : a long double chain of A , T, C, G acids, with one chain being the complementary of the other.
RNA is a single acid chain. It's mostly used to synthetize proteins through ribosomes for example.
A cell will stick itself to the beinning of the RNA chain, and will synthetize what's written on it while reading it till it reaches the other end of the chain.
