how do we solve the 3rd world population problem, when we cure aging?

should this technology only be available for a certain wealth bracket? I think that is the only way to manage the rapid population growth.

People in less developed countries have many kids because they are less educated and have to rely on their children to care for them once they become old. As soon as the 3rd worlders get proper education, healthcare, and a better, actually functioning government, the birthrates will drop very fast.

In other words, the level of technology you're assuming is a) possible (debatable) and b) anywhere near realization (unlikely assuming "a" is even true) is so universe breaking that it would bring about pathways of problem solving that make what you think are problems now seem trivial in the way that the problems of cave men seem trivial to us.

I think, if it proves cheap enough for everyone to get, we would have to have a lottery on who gets to keep their metaphorical balls. Something like only 5% of immortals are left sterile. The lottery shouldn't be weighted towards any criteria, since we could accidentally send ourselves into some weird genetic situation where we accidentally select for schizos with 200iq that may be geniuses but also can't put coherent ideas into practice.

Move over to growing new humans in vats so we can control the total population at any given time, and throw some eugenics/genetic modification (i prefer a slower approach to prevent any accidental mishaps and be sure to preserve unmodified backup material).
This would solve other problems as well if we no longer needed to use our bodies to reproduce directly.

I think with aging out of the picture people would probably hold off on starting a family until they retire. Women would all freeze their eggs, have a baby at 70, spend 20 years raising it, then go back to her career or maybe start a new one. I could envision retirement/family towns where people move to to raise their kids in an environment with other kids, because most towns would be 100% adults
