It could also be related to the relative health of the recipient. If you get the vaccine and then go get shitfaced, you may have some bad consequences. Same goes with a lot of pre or post activities people do that fuck with their system. Even ideally, a vaccine fucks with your system enough to trigger some sort of response, so if you add additional fuck ups your body is going to be fucked.

Same goes for people contracting the virus. None of this shit is happening in vaccums.

It was a popular theory a few months ago but then they started observing injections and found it to be unlikely. But if it keeps the public from turning against the injections for a few more months, a couple million more people can be convinced to get injected, so that's what really matters. By then another theory will be proposed for the cause of the injection maladies. Once that one fades away, another will be proposed and we'll keep repeating the system until everyone is injected or no one else can be convinced to get injected.
