>>13718346Now you're putting words in my mouth. I was refuting the argument that mRNA vaccines are so new that we don't know anything about long term effects. That's not correct.
With regards to the current batch of mRNA vaccines, you can study long-term effects in preclinical work. We use animal models with more rapid life cycles to study such (potential) effects. Work of this kind is important and almost always ignored on 4chan, including in this thread.
Aside from that, the predominant reason for why mRNA based therapeutics hadn't yet taken off full scale pre-covid aren't safety concerns, but methodological issues stemming from the instability of mRNA in vivo. It tends to be broken down quickly, and requires some degree of stabilization for it to be able to reach its therapeutic potential. With recent advances, these obstacles have now been overcome. The point here is that the intrinsic instability of mRNA is something that strongly acts *against* the potential for long-term adverse effects.
>>13718350>nowhere near the safe history of use that normal vax's have.I've already mentioned the multiple stage III clinical trials with N of ~30k, and stage IV trials with N of a million plus. That adheres to clinical standards, and then some.
