You're arguing over the wrong thing. It's not a question of what system of units is better, it's a question of which numeric base is best. Imperial is fucked up in many ways but it does use base 12 in places, which is by far the best base. Base-10 sucks donkey dicks and is only liked by people who need to use their fingers to count.
