How does Ritalin compare to Adderall in terms of its safeness? I have 10mg and honestly I don't want to rely on stimulants but I feel like I need it at this point, I'm out of options.

I'm just talking about some of the negatives of Adderall such as how eventually you'll need higher doses, or you might feel worse when you're off it. Things like that. No need to be rude anon, I just want to make sure it's ok because I'm not familiar with all of this.

What bad things? Sure if you take hundreds of mgs and stay up for days you're fucking yourself, possibly long term.
Just be normal and don't take too much and you'll be fine.
Do you have 10mg of adderall or ritalin? I personally wouldn't notice 10mg of ritalin.

I have Ritalin but at the moment I'm cutting it in half and taking 5. I notice a slight difference but it could be a placebo.

And I've heard that if you take Adderall for too long then eventually you'll be worse without it and you'll also need to increase your dose. I guess that applies to other things too but I just don't hear as many bad things about Ritalin in comparison.

no dude, ritaline contains methylphenidate.
Adderal contains 75:25 amphetamine.
He means ritaline is "weaker" than amphetamine. Like as weak as coffee would be to ritaline.

depends on the tablet type. XR tablets are 50mg but they release very slowly. Focaline is prescribed as low dosage methylphenidate so it's not that uncommon. I'd still go with 15-20

It's not you idiot, it is phenidate.

Phenidate blocks the proteins that transport dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine, it blocks sodium channels too (Kind of similar to cocaine, but less potent).

People have too extreme opinions about this. Think about life quality for a person with ADHD. Could either be an engineer or construction worker if he could focus enough to complete school. A drug can be a necessary tool to help you achieve your goal. Don't come at me with: "adhd doesn't exist" that's a whole other topic. Accept imperfect solutions and move on.

No ones forcing it on people with ADHD. Some will live their lives with attentional issues and that will manifest in ways such as depression, anxiety, lower income, wreckless behavior. Others will put lots of effort into diet, meditation etc. and control attentional issues. It may seem extreme to resort to drugs but there's clinical evidence it mitigates ADHD symptoms.
