How is the pressure distribution?

So if i fasten a pressure gauge on the top of the cone-like structure i will get a different pressure reading than on the bottom on the side?

and if i suddenly release the pressure from the cone-like structure from a tube i suddenly attach at the top(lets say into a vacuum, forget the water now) how will the velocity and pressure be as opposed to if i did the same with the same tube but with a perfect cone?

no. absolute air pressure inside the bell will be ?gh+atmosphere throughout.

it will be very fast in any case. I have no idea what your intention is but it doesnt sound good.

intuitively how i see these two experiments:

experiment1: you have a diving bell and force it under water. this is a perfect cone. a tube on the top is attached with a manual valve.

when you open the valve the compressed air will go out the valve. it will make a "clean" noise as the shape of the vessel makes it so that the air can perfectly escape.

experiment two:
you have a square diving bell with the same width hose attached on the top with a manual valve. when you open the valve the air will similarly escape but id wager the sound this produces will be different since now the air has to take a different path out the opening...

so you see there /is/ a difference. id say the air in experiment 1 also exits faster.

of course the speed at which this happens differently with respect to ex1 and 2 might not be very different but there is a difference...

so id say the pressure is higher on the top than on the bottom...(atleast if opened to the environment) with experiment 1 .
