It's not about elitism, it's about keeping the money printing machines that is the Universities alive.

It's all circular, all big employers, companies firms etc ask you for a degree because of govt regulations, which are themselves guided by the administrators in banks and universities alike.

When everyone is conditioned to get a degree, the socio-economic value of the degree goes down, but every one is in debt so that's good for the financial system.

Yes I know that is different but being able to force that information into your brain would make education more efficient because you wont forget about it, then you can spend your time taking apart that information to grasp the subject. Actual true instant learning is witchcraft.

Good luck enumerating the tens of millions of Hippocampal memory cells to relate them to an individual's associations. Then either coaxing new neurons to grow in extremely specific patterns, or creating some sort of synthetic neuron instead.

It would be useful for "memorizing" a large amount of self-explanatory things, like all the functions in the standard library, or what each button on that complicated panel does, or the dates of Uncle Hitler's birth or whatever. It can come in handy, but I don't think that's the real bottleneck, and it's certainly not going to replace decent education.
