We're still decades from this being possible.
Good luck living long enough see the information come back to Earth.
We should really put more priority on trying to catch the next interstellar object and landing a really advanced probe.

Artificial gravitational lensing would be so cool.
I also like to think about how a gravity generator could be used to fuck around with water. Localized flooding could just get dragged back to the river/lake/drain, or you could set up your gravity device to intentionally draw water into an area for some real Chinese dambreaking strategy.
