We are a cosmic mistake that happened due to sheer chance. Just an extension of the universe's chemical processes, when chemical compounds managed to encode the instructions to create other compounds, creating a cycle of reproduction and competition that ended in us: Clumps of cells that labor under the illusion of being a person. Replicate, don't replicate, it doesn't matter, none of it matters, you will die, and your constituent parts will be recycled by the universe to create something else, and this illusion, this dream, that we call conciousness, the (You), will be gone forever.
And on and on will go until one of these clumps of cells finally figures out how to upload themselves into a machine and cheat the relentless cycle of death, and eventually how to escape this place of suffering we call universe before it expires.
