>>13706457If you want to do anything physics related, this is a meme, any two large math books, one covering calculus, some linear algebra and ODEs, another covering complex analysis, PDEs, tenors, groups and special functions, all with with no proofs is sufficient for undergrad and masters level physics. All of the math books look like someone not familiar with either took hard books on areas he heard were tangential to physics.
Physics wise, L&L are a wonderful theoretical reference but terrible to study from without extensive guidance by an instructor and supplementary problem set. Self studying from Mechanics for example, would leave you incompetent to solve the simplest canonical problems in classical mechanics and it would leave you with significant gaps in understanding as most derivations and some explanations are skipped as obvious.
No place in the world does physics this way for a very good reason.
