I think you'll quit if you do it properly (at least every odd-numbered exercise), but it'd be inspirational as fuck if you pulled it off.
Anton's book is full of tedious matrix manipulations for the first few chapters (multiplications, tons of Gauss-Jordan eliminations, etc.). It'll take a special kind of sperg to make the concerted effort required to finish the book in a month.

Not really when you think about how important they are. Most universities have classes to teach proofs.

Also, do you think this plan is actually viable? A month isn't much time, especially since I'm assuming everyone is busy with other aspects of their lives.

Not OP but didn't plan on any servers. And I think this plan can be viable for most. But if it's not that's okay. Take as long as you need to. This isn't about speed or being able to read quickly, it's about learning and comprehension

Settheoryfag. Halmos's book is not that great for a reading group. There are barely any exercises and way too verbose. If you are doing set theory after graph theory then use Schimmerling's A Course on Set Theory. He has a lot great stuff in there about trees. Of course these are mostly infinite trees, but it might interesting to see. It also primes you with a bit of topology, if that is your next topic.

How about you spend 12 months on one or two books from a single subject you really want to learn? I mean really spend time immersing yourself in some real math, exploring the avenues made on open problems and such. What you are doing now is like the equivalent of taking 18 classes over 12 months, or like 6 rapid and intense math courses for 3 semesters.

This, when I did all the exercises in a book and study the general case (esp. Abstract Algebra) I was reading so much papers and exposing myself to a lot more math than was just in that book. For example how many numbers of subgroup unions can form valid groups: general case not proven but conjectured 2^p + 1
