i mean, you've learned to shitpost. have you managed to contribute to society with that?
it's different if your skill-learning is a drain on someone else's resources though. as in, you receive the training not as a service that you pay for, but as a payment for your future work. however, these cases often come with contracts, or at least opportunities where you will want to use your newly learned skills.
learning in general is often done due to promise of the reward on the other end.
the instances where this wouldn't be the case (learning a skill at someone else's expense, so not shitposting, or mickey mouse degrees) are rare, and would have low effect.
