>>13700173>>13700173I feel like this is more true for age than IQ (at least in my experience). Young you has a simple, black-and-white view on everything. Then older you starts to take in how much more complicated the world is once you're out into it, and how much it swarms you at every unpredictable angle; and then you find yourself going on verbose tangents about how overpowering your life experiences have been, how all the preparation you were given (if any) did jack shit, and it's this constant stream about how many lessons you've learned or had to learn (most of it bad lessons) on what to do in a given situation, and that young'ns today don't know shit about the world, and you give them (as well as other adults) condescending advice that was neither asked for nor directly relevant to whatever the hell you were talking about. And then when you get older than that, you look back and feel "yeah, I exaggerated a lot of that, didn't I? Shit wasn't that complicated;" but you've still turned into a Grandpa Simpson-like character, and quietly judge other younger adults for pulling the same shit you did.
