I am willing to accept that the Earth creates a certain amount of organic compounds via abiotic processes. But at a scale which results in the amount of oil we have? Nah.

Well, I dunno all that much about geology, beyond stuff like the Mohs hardness scale. But I do know that humans have discovered reactions which take inorganic reactants and create organic products. I wouldn't be shocked if somewhere in the hot and high-pressure depths of the Earth, that kind of reaction takes place. Am I saying crude oil comes from such a reaction? No, but something organic might.

If you've followed the past year you'll know how trivial it is to get people not to question long held, inculcated assumptions, and those in the know are underneath NDA's. Only a subset of wells have replacement rates anywhere near flow rates. But its hardly one and done like the fossil fuel narrative describes. They'll just continue to say its gone in two weeks and quitely add more reserves as they've always done

There are literally lakes of hydrocarbon on other stellar bodies.
I don't buy abiotic oil as the ones who push it are clearly coping with peak oil, and the jump from methane to more complex hydrocarbon doesn't seem easy, but the theory is not as retarded as you make it sound, which is why some people buy it. You are more retarded than them if you don't see that. (or you are actually a geophysicist but I'm betting you aren't)
