7d moving average. Aug18th it was reported 8 deaths that day but a moving 7 day average of 138. By sep27th the moving average was up to 280. It's because deaths always accumulate, it's the growth rate that matters.

hmm Covid daily cases also went up like 20x from june could just be a case for more people dying because of recent outbreak, also isn't Florida one of the most un healthy states on average causing more people to drop dead?

Florida is a very popular retirement destination for older people.
I don't have any data but I'd predict the average age there is higher than most other states.
