Our world doens't have enough resources for everyone to be an artist, tradesman, professor or self-employed. The world needs people cleaning shit from bathrooms and screwing bolts 48 hours a week for all of us to enjoy moderate luxury. There's demand for those kind of jobs absolutely no one would do, and inevitably some people will ahve no choice but to to that.
Unless your dream is to live in a cabin innawoods and only eat what you can grow or kill, or unless you are filthy rich, you are going to get stuck in the grind.
