Minus all the anthropomorphizing that OP is doing, it's still so extraordinary that some plants evolved to use digestive enzymes in the same way we do.

I didn't say I think it's the most impressive (I don't think that word is appropriate for anything regarding evolution).
It's just fucking cool that a whole different line of evolution ended up "obtaining" the ability to digest in the same way that we do.
It's like whales and bats both evolving to use their voices as a form of echolocation.
I mean, how long ago was there most common ancestor?

Flight seems like a good candidate. Evolved independently at least four times in birds, insects, bats, and pterosaurs.
Or dolphins / Ichthyosaurs.
Or half the shit that lives in Australia.
Or shrews and elephant shrews.

Or even the classic textbook example of eyes, that impresses me more than plants dissolving and absorbing some meat.

No way. There are a thousand different deep sea species that are way more fucked up than venus flytraps.

I don't know of any plants that do that, but plenty of fungi do parasitize animals. Also there are a ton of parasitic plants. Mistletoe is a parasite.
