This is actually a fair point. We don't really have a physically precise definition of a quantum field if you want to get really technical about it. Classical fields have no issues though.

Literally all the important fields are over spacetime (non euclidian, might not even be topologically equivalent to euclidian space) and take more general tensor values (or in the case of quantum fields, operators over some L2 space)
