I'm thinking of switching from my Law degree (2nd year in the UK, where law is an undergrad subject) to study CS and Cognitive Sciences/Philosophy in Canada. Both unis are really good. I'm wondering if this would be a good move, given I'm interested in but not super passionate about law, since cogsci and compsci seem interesting. I want to know if cogsci and AI are meme fields or if there's legit research potential and cool stuff going on. I don't want to be a codemonkey or SWE, I'm looking to do something close to Anil Seth for example. Quantum Computing is also an interest. Anyone in the field or who can give me advice?
