All known prions diseases are caused by PRNP, PRNP is not even a factor when it comes to COVID and as far as we know the vaccines as well, therefore they cannot cause prions. However COVID spike proteins can occupy heparin binding domains which can cause toxic amyloid buildup, which can cause Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's technically is a prion disease, however it differs from the prions diseases we are discussing as it is caused by aggregation of amyloid beta peptides as opposed to misfolded PRNP. Make no mistake though, Alzheimer's is just as bad, it just progresses slower, it is still a terminal illness.
