The most that can be said is that e^ipi + 1 = 0 shouldn't be that surprising since there's no prior notion of complex exponentiation and it's only defined in a way that makes this work. But I agree I wouldn't consider this one of the most beautiful formulas in mathematics, not even in the top 100.
