I just learned that sperm cells have like a dozen mitochondrias to literally make it swim as fast as it can.

Of course mutations are completely random and without pattern. However the biggest misconception is that natural selection is somehow random or unguided. Whether a living being survives or not is 100% deterministic and guided by its environment. The diversity and complexity of life you see today is the product of a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percent of all genetic mutations which have ever existed, nature is just throwing shit at a wall and seeing what sticks pretty much.

This is mouthbreathing retardism. Throw a dart on a map and you will have an entirely different environment with entirely different random natural selection pressures with each place it lands. Natural selection is 100% random and unguided. You can't even say what the selection pressures will be in 10k years from now in your back yard. Will there be an ice age? Will it be underwater? Will it be a desert? Will it be the same? You have no clue because it is completely random what will happen.

I don't share this unfounded religious belief.
Your "fraction of a fraction" statement is also wrong. Most mutations stick around and are harmless. There is no reason our DNA would not still have mutations experienced by our alleged "bacteria ancestors" from billions of years ago on your mythical timeline because if they are harmless there is no pressure to get rid of them.

That's not what I'm saying, just that whatever effect on the genome that change will have, it's deterministic.

Also I mean that what you physically see, as in your eye, ears, whatever it a product of a fraction of mutations. The vast majority of the genome is pretty much just either useless or affect expression, only about 1% of nucleotides actually encode for anything, and only a fraction of those can change without problems.

Natural selection pressures are random. You can twist words all you want but they're still random.
Their effects on the genome are not deterministic either, not in the slightest. We have countless species that have nearly gone extinct and then bounced back because natural selection pressures were "trying to get rid of them." but were not sufficient. They were not eliminated because natural selection isn't a deterministic mechanism that guarantees the elimination of a genome like you mindlessly think.

It's less than 10% and that is still contested to this day as we are finding more and more auxiliary uses for them. You have no idea what you are talking about.
