How do we simulate the solubility of simple compounds and mixes of compounds in water and other solvents?
I believe this simple topic is still an open problem.

All the data is experimental and theres nothing for mixes. Like, whats the solubility of sodium chloride in a 5% solution of iron sulphate? There are no easy theoretical answers to such elementary questions and people think they'll work out superstrings and shit

how do we simulate molecular reactions at all, I would like to know. I understand it's possible and have run folding at home a bunch, but a rundown on the sim software itself would be badass

General reactions would also be nice to simulate, although im asking for something allegedly easier: Solubility simulations.
Its pretty telling people think they cant simulate the human brain but they cant simulate inorganic salts dissolving in water.
