What causes the feeling in your chest when you feel sadness? The sort of tingling that dissipates though your body in around 2 seconds?

I feel a different feeling in my chest when I am sad (extremely sad), it's this feeling of my chest being heavy, as if it was sinking, yeah it feels as if my chest was sinking on itself.

My theory is that somatic responses to psychological stress are another form of pain, as a warning sign: if we associate sadness or depression with physical discomfort, we have another incentive to avoid it
