Ant the issue with God is not something limited to your eyesight. There is simply no good reason to believe in him. I can't see electrons but I believe in electricity because I have experienced indirect evidence of its existence. There seems to be no evidence of God's existence, neither direct nor indirect. People who claim to have had mystical experiences may be lying since their claims can't be reliably reproduced (unlike what happens with electricity and other natural phenomena). Religious people interpret all kinds of coincidences through the lens of "God is giving me a sign" but then they can't come up with a coherent explanation of why some earthquake in Indonesia kills thousands of innocent people.
