I fucked up. Chemistry anons, what do you do for a living? How much do you make? What should I do from here? Just finish the degree? I've completed the majority of my classes for my major already.

I did Mechanical because, like you, I had no idea what I wanted to do when I graduated, so I just did Mechanical Engineering because I figured it's rigourous, it's a good education, and it's versatile. It turns out, according to everything my old friends and classmates have told me and everything I've read, that Computer Science is far more versatile and gets you way more money. Of course, you're two years into your degree so maybe just finish up chemistry and major in something else alongside it.

Given that you have no idea what you want to do when you graduate, why not major in the degree that is most versatile and gets the most money?
